Tasting Notes:Many journalists, including Dave Broom in his book called 'Rum', published by Mitchell-Beazley, state that 'some of the best Guadeloupe rhums come from Marie-Galante'.
This reputation comes partly from the fact that they are the only distilleries to bottle their rhum at an impressive 59° but this alone does not explain their distinctive taste, apparent not only in the white or 'agricole' rhums, but also in the aged ('vieux') rhums they produce.
