Tasting Notes:It is the tall Absinth (Artemisia Absinthium) which gives its flavor to the product and the spirits of plants bring fineness, freshness and aromatic persistence.
It is a “bitter”, with very little sugar and a taste of Absinth. This “Bitter” at 69% of alcohol / volume is composed of alcohol, sugar, infusion and essence of the Absinth plants spirit of green anise, of anethol (essence of Badiane/ star anise), and green colouring (brilliant blue FCF and tartrazin), alcoholates of lemon balm and mint.
The Grande Absente is of a similar composition to Absente, but re-enforced in bitterness and thuyone content. The quantity of sugar is much less and Absinth much more. -
